Supporting the Rebuild of Northern California

By June 27, 2019News, Outside News

AUC Group is proud to support efforts to rebuild a community in Northern California following the devastation caused by “Camp Fire”, the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history. (1) The fire started on November 8, 2018 and covered an area of 153,336 acres, destroyed 18,804 structures and caused at least 85 fatalities over the span of 17 days before its containment. (2)

Plans to rebuild the community requires an “army” of about 1,500 people from across the country housed in a camp containing 38 dorms, a cafeteria and even a gym. As such, the camp needed a temporary system to treat wastewater for the duration of the community rebuild efforts. AUC was able to quickly deploy a temporary treatment solution to meet the camps needs in under two weeks. The temporary treatment system will remain in service until the camp is ready to be dismantled.

Check out this video from a local ABC affiliate for more details on the action plan to rebuild.
