Who cares about toilets?

By November 17, 2021News

Did you know, 3.6 billion people live without access to safely managed sanitation? On November 19, 2021, the United Nations celebrates World Toilet Day to draw attention to the fact that toilets and sanitation systems are underfunded and poorly managed with devastating consequences for health, economics, and the environment.

When safe toilets are not accessible in a community, everyone’s health is threatened. Poor sanitation contaminates drinking-water sources, rivers, beaches, and food crops, which can lead to the spread of deadly disease among the wider population.

World Toilet Day is about taking action to tackle the global sanitation crisis and achieve Sustainable Development Goal 6 – water and sanitation for all by 2030. However, the world is not on track to meet this goal and massive investment and innovation is needed to progress.

Seven Seas Water Group is committed to reliably treat wastewater and dispose of/or reuse water and our facilities are built to withstand impacts from the environment, so water availability is never disrupted. Please learn more about this cause, view case studies and staggering facts here.
